True Beauty

have you ever known true beauty?  she has a name  one true word  that escapes from the tongue;  a mantra  in my quiet moments  
 
it pains me  to let that name slip away  afraid it will flutter briefly  piquing my senses  only to take flight once more  like the sweet scent of honeydew  vaporously arousing  and dissipating too quickly   
happiness has a rhythm  that beats methodically through my mind  to the tune of her heart  and the velvet caress of her voice  a sirens song unto itself  luring I alone   
until I flail, stumble,

Picturesque AmericanaBernard swung open the door to his humble three bedroom home, allowing the last few streaks of sunlight in with him. His wife sat on the couch.  “Hey honey, geez what a shitty day.”  She stared back mutely at him.  From the TV, Jeopardy blared its theme song, perhaps a bit too loudly. Bernard began making his way to the bathroom, over his shoulder saying:  “You shouldn’t watch that crap. You know there’s nothing good on TV until after 6.”  Alex Trebec just rambled incessantly back at him.  Bernard tossed his tie in the hallway, aiming at nothing in particular. It arched carelessly before coming to rest on top of Picturesque Americana

parenthetical asideas a baby  born oxygen deprived  the doctors prognosis was abysmal   
(he wouldn't last)   
but i did  nervous as i was, the strange tics  soon went away, and it was off to school for me  in grade school, the teachers said my grades were fine  but in the long run

because of my...condition  education was a futile vice  they thought i couldn't hear  but i could hear just fine  my farmer father quickly put me to work  the farm across the way held a  golden haired vixen, Samantha  we met, fell into love  courted parenthetical aside

Lotsa work lately...50 hour weeks own me.
But I've got a kick ass short story im working on, inspired from numerous sources. With any luck i'll pull my lazy butt over to the puter once I get some free time and crank it out.
